Frederick A. Langer, managing director, leads the firm’s LeanSigma-Process Improvement practice. A manufacturing expert for over 30 years, he specializes in driving process improvement and manufacturing efficiency. Mr. Langer established the firm’s unique implementation process which focuses on “speed, sustainability and the ability to continuously improve,” and has applied this process to more than 50 companies, both challenged and healthy, saving millions in their implementation of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma. Fred has guided plant consolidations, distribution center optimizations, and has led due diligence efforts on behalf of many private equity firms.  Industry specializations include metal fabrication and assembly, injection molding, chemical processing, warehousing and distribution, and healthcare services companies around the globe. He spent 18 years at AlliedSignal (currently Honeywell), and has designs on the International Space Station as well as many satellites. Mr. Langer was the deputy program manager of the Space Station and the IRIDIUM programs, and led the Six Sigma and lean manufacturing program for Allied Signal Aerospace Defense & Space Systems. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the City College of New York and a master’s degree in business administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He is a member of the Turnaround Management Association.
