Glenn McMahon, Managing Director, is an experienced operating executive who has led the growth and transformation of complex vertical retail businesses, venture start-ups, and business turnarounds, and driven revenue, marketing, and product development over the past three decades. He is a hands-on, results-oriented leader who has demonstrated abilities to work for private equity, owner/founders, listed companies, and venture capital firms with dexterity and no ego.
Select experiences include:
- Led the turnaround of a women’s Canadian intimates’ brand, ~$200MM revenue, 100+ retail stores: increased the penetration of e-commerce business; closed non-performing retail stores; revamp product and marketing; identified alternative sourcing resulted in shorter lead times; improved margins
- Led the turnaround of a women’s European luxury brand, ~$300MM revenue, ~200 stores worldwide: identified and hired a new Creative Director, simplified the product offering; invested in technology to support the growth of the e-commerce; closure of non-performing doors in non-strategic locations
- Led the turnaround of a women’s fashion brand; ~$120MM revenue: identified areas of growth, reduction in expenses, and a path to profitability that led to the successful sale of the company.
- Led the turnaround and performance improvement of the ~$450m iconic American women’s global retail brand, reducing operating expenses by $50MM in one year, and improved SKY rationalization, consolidation of the supply chain, and renegotiation of store leases
Glenn spearheaded a bicoastal (Los Angeles/ New York) consulting firm in 2013 to take advantage of market opportunity driven by investors looking for talent to help transform, restage portfolio companies and/or work with emerging businesses in the DTC space. He has a BA in History and Political Science from the American University (Washington, D.C.).
