Marc Adelson Joins Firm as Managing Director

NEW YORK, October 23, 2009 – Getzler Henrich & Associates, one of the nation’s leading turnaround and restructuring firms, today announced that Marc Adelson has been appointed to the firm as a Managing Director. Marc has over 25 years of experience providing restructuring/reorganization expertise to middle market companies with operational difficulties and capital restructuring needs. As a managing director, Mr. Adelson will focus on Getzler Henrich’s business development and financial restructuring engagements. He will be based in the firm’s New York City headquarters. Prior to joining Getzler Henrich, Marc served as CIT’s senior managing director in London, where he identified the acquisition candidacy of European domiciled companies as well as managing their buy side efforts. Previous to this, Marc served as president of CIT’s $8 billion asset-based lending group in New York. He has a wide range of industry experience, particularly in the trucking, consumer products, apparel, retail and equipment leasing sectors. Marc also served as the national head of new business development, leading a team which generated consistent year-over-year growth. Many of these transactions took place in troubled or turnaround situations. Prior to his roles at CIT, Marc spent thirteen years at Heller Financial Inc. where he focused on underwriting, credit risk assessment, portfolio management and asset-based lending. “Marc is a highly accomplished professional who will be a key part of our firm’s growth opportunities in the years ahead,” said Joel Getzler, vice chairman of Getzler Henrich. “We look forward to having him contribute his experience and expertise toward our future development as well as the financial betterment of our clients,” he added.
